Osteria at Stefano Lubiana | Hobart
When it comes to Italian food in Hobart, the bar keeps rising higher and higher! From Don Camillo, to Maldini, to Capital, and now Osteria…we’re spoilt for choice, and we haven’t even tried The Italian Pantry or Cultura yet! One fantastic aspect of Osteria is how many options it provides, from a simple wine tasting at their cellar door, to a light meal, to a three course lunch with all the trimmings. The quality of their ingredients is second to none, making the absolute most of their own biodynamic garden, and the seasonal produce for which Tasmania is renowned. We absolutely adored Osteria at Stefano Lubiana and we’re sure you will too!
The Black Footed Pig | Hobart
Hand me a never ending packet of Tim Tams and a bottomless tube of Pringles and I could quite easily spend the rest of my days on the couch, 2008 NRL grand final on repeat, alternating between sweet and savoury until either my belly moulded itself to the shape of the coffee table or I succumbed to the inevitable coronary!
Aløft – the prequel | Hobart
The most exciting development in Tasmania’s food scene in 2015 has been the emergence of Aløft, brain child of local chef Christian Ryan and his good friend Glenn Byrnes (recently of Garagistes fame), and supported by Heiki Stanley (ex-Pilgrim) and Madeleine Paske of MONA’s The Source.
